Drive-In Pallet Racking

Drive-In pallet racking optimizes space utilization by minimizing the number of aisles and maximizing the number of pallets stored per square meter. This system features inner loading lanes with support rails on each side for the pallets. Material handling equipment, such as reach trucks, drives into these lanes to stack goods onto the rails, utilizing the full depth of the installation.

This type of racking is particularly effective for managing a few varieties of stock-keeping units (SKUs) produced or dispatched in batches. Drive-In pallet racking is a dense storage system designed to provide a secure and efficient solution for maximizing warehouse space.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Achieves up to 70% effective space utilization depending on warehouse layout.
  • Requires a low initial investment.
  • It is ideal for storing large quantities of homogenous products (few SKUs).
  • Provides safe block stacking for goods too fragile to be stacked on top of each other.
  • Suitable for cold storage and small buffer areas.
  • It allows for both FIFO (First In, First Out) and FILO (First In, Last Out) dispatch configurations.
  • Suitable for industries involved in batch production.
  • Adaptable to varying pallet and load heights.
