SYSTEM OF ACTIVE STABILITY
Toyota’s System of Active Stability (SAS) is a patented safety system that helps to protect the driver, the load and the truck.
SAS constantly monitors forklift operations and automatically takes corrective action when it senses factors that could lead to truck or load instability.
VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Controls speed, acceleration, and deceleration based on lift height and load weight to help prevent load drops.
Swing lock cylinder
Automatically locks the rear axle to increase stability during turning.
Mast angle & tilt speed control
Prevent both load and truck from dangerously tipping forward.
Fork levelling control
Atomatically levels the forks holizontally at 90° with the push of a button.
Active Steering synchronizer
Automatically aligns the steering knob with the rear wheels, back to the original position, allowing great ergonomics.
Turn-speed control
Controls the turning speed based on lift height, load weight, and turning radius to maintain the forklift's stability.

The SAS Mast Control function monitors the load height and mast position and defines the optimized mast speed and angle for these parameters. Thus, mast sway will be minimized, allowing operators to store or retrieve pallets at height faster.

Adjusting the forks horizontally to pick up a pallet takes time. With SAS Fork Levelling Control, the forks are leveled at the push of a button, making this task quicker for the driver and the operator to stack goods correctly and evenly, avoiding damage to goods and racking, reducing costs.

Stability and comfort are crucial for operators. Our patented SAS Swing Lock Cylinder provides unparalleled lateral stability by automatically locking the rear axle's swing movement during cornering. Additionally, the SAS Steering Synchronizer, which automatically aligns the steering wheel knob with the position of the rear wheels, ensures that drivers can maintain an ergonomically optimal driving position.
