Engine Counterbalanced forklift

An engine-powered counterbalance truck is an industrial vehicle designed to carry and stack loads. It is powered by an internal combustion engine and equipped with a material handling system (mast, forks, etc.) that allows it to handle loads. The mechanical components are similar to a car, but some differences exist.

Engines are a common power source for forklifts, and they are fuelled by diesel, gasoline, LPG, or CNG. The capacity is usually explained in terms of engine output or torque, and a forklift engine is designed to provide a powerful performance at low engine speeds.

Engine-powered counterbalance trucks are typically used in outdoor applications. Their design, good gradeability, and many tire options make them well adapted to handle uneven surfaces and slopes. However, the engine produces emissions, making them less suitable for indoor operations.
